Location
The comfortable 5-star Jinja Nile Resort is located merely 500 metres from Bungee Jumping Jinja and features a 24-hour front desk and wake-up calls. Positioned about a 10-minute drive from the cable-stayed Source of the Nile Bridge, the smoke-free resort provides a banquet hall, ideal for group events.
Situated 3.6 km from Bujagali Falls, this Jinja hotel is in proximity to Adrift Riverbase. The romantic accommodation is only 6 minutes' walk from Adrift and 5 km from Jinja airport. Visit Victoria Nile, 650 m from the hotel, and feel complete harmony with the nature of Uganda.
Overlooking the river, the 64 rooms are appointed with air conditioning, as well as modern facilities such as a flat-screen TV with satellite channels. Also, there is a private safe, a minibar fridge and tea/coffee making equipment provided. Bathrooms come with a separate toilet and a shower, along with complimentary toiletries and bath sheets. Here you'll also find views of the River Nile.
2 onsite restaurants, among them HNR and Dine at the Huts, serve African, American, and British dishes. The restaurant serves American cuisine. Guests can enjoy time in the 24-hour bar. The bar area includes a lounge.
Review by hotel critic
Nestled along the serene banks of the Nile, I recently enjoyed a rejuvenating stay at Jinja Nile Resort Hotel. While Jinja city bustles with activity, this hotel offers a tranquil escape, complete with breathtaking views and a pleasant atmosphere. The spacious cottages provided a comforting home base, complemented by well-kept grounds adorned with trees and paved walkways-ideal for leisurely strolls. The standout feature of my stay was the spa facilities; the steam room and sauna offered much-needed relaxation after days of exploration. Despite the inviting ambiance, I found the dining experience somewhat lacking. Breakfast was disappointing, and the dinner options varied in quality, though an exceptional meal was served during a special event. The activities staff were eager to promote overpriced excursions, so I recommend negotiating with local vendors for better deals. While the hotel captivates with its location and inviting spa services, there's evident room for improvement in its offerings. For travelers seeking a calm retreat in Uganda, it presents a worthwhile experience to consider.
