Review by hotel critic
Nestled along the serene banks of the Nile, I recently enjoyed a rejuvenating stay at Jinja Nile Resort Hotel. While Jinja city bustles with activity, this hotel offers a tranquil escape, complete with breathtaking views and a pleasant atmosphere. The spacious cottages provided a comforting home base, complemented by well-kept grounds adorned with trees and paved walkways-ideal for leisurely strolls. The standout feature of my stay was the spa facilities; the steam room and sauna offered much-needed relaxation after days of exploration. Despite the inviting ambiance, I found the dining experience somewhat lacking. Breakfast was disappointing, and the dinner options varied in quality, though an exceptional meal was served during a special event. The activities staff were eager to promote overpriced excursions, so I recommend negotiating with local vendors for better deals. While the hotel captivates with its location and inviting spa services, there's evident room for improvement in its offerings. For travelers seeking a calm retreat in Uganda, it presents a worthwhile experience to consider.
